Nostalgia at its best Posted: 22 Jan 2021 03:55 AM PST I remember that day in 1999, my husband bought EQ. I remember saying why do you need EQ you've got diablo 2. I didnt understand what was to come... So he loads it up, the kunark expansion screen loads and im in a state of shock. This game looks amazing, this isnt a d2 game. He creates a barbarian rogue and proceeds to spend hours playing and learning his class. One morning i manage to get on and create a barb shammy, thats it im hooked it took 2 years of comp sharing and saving to buy a second PC. We were on Lanys then just as we got the second comp we got a move to Venril sathir . We met some of the best gaming community during our time on both servers, made life long friends, saw first time raid goals and with his shammy he became one of the ever rotating top 3 of the server. There has never been a game like EQ, we look for that pull in new mmo's but you just cannot find it. I am so pleased EQ is still alive and expanding we visit rarely its always nice to come home.
