What if blank TLP? Posted: 21 Feb 2021 08:47 PM PST Just thinking into ideas on how to keep EQ fresh. Hard thing to do when the game is nearly/or 22 years old. Going to list what I think could be interesting as a TLP server or "Private" server. (Yes this idea would not be considered a TLP with the ruleset". Completely new server with everything unlocked. Everyone starts in their home cities of choice (depending on race). Beastlords and Zerkers are available as classes. Crescent Reach area and zones not available to spread the player base out to normal starting areas and close by leveling zones. Hotzones - Keep them but change more frequently and add more for each leveling area based on the level. This would increase discovery/exploration for the many players who haven't seen these beautiful areas. Make them a bit more difficult to keep in line with dungeons but also grant equivalent experience and items that are dungeon worthy. Pulls may be easier due to more open landscape. Goal with this server would be to bring people into the same area but spread them out as well. If someone wants to camp a non hotzone area then they can do so without the bonus experience/loot. This may open up random camps that friends/guildies want to get since others would rather get the bonuses. submitted by /u/Drazore [link] [comments]

Or perhaps a title system? I'm quite into games that allow you to grind for these things! I'm not too fussed about the population - as long as there's at least a handful of people online that's good for me. Is there enough people to talk/interact with? Any low level Shaman or Bard gear quests worth doing on a non-progression sever? Posted: 21 Feb 2021 01:39 PM PST Not sure if there's a name for non-progression servers...just a regular server? Anyhow, my friend and I started up EQ again after a 15 or so year hiatus. I'm rolling a shaman and he a Bard on the Erollisi Marr/The Nameless server as I played on The Nameless so many years ago. We're both still very low level but are trying to get any gear worth getting. Are there any quest we should look out for?
