TLP auctions - Is everyone happy with the Discord replacement?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 03:19 PM PDT

    Hi everyone,

I recently came back to EQ and discovered that TLP auctions was taken down. I found the discord channel that links posts. It's nice because it can push notifications to you for specific items. The con is that I can never be really sure whether or not I'm getting a good deal since there's no price history.

If I could build something similar to TLP auctions - price history, and charts for WTB vs WTS prices over time, notifications. Would this be something people are interested in over Discord? Or are people generally happy?

Player Race Illusions List for Live

    Hey everyone,

Figured I'd post my race illusion list while I was cleaning up my notebook.

Illusions are my favorite thing about EQ!I would spend days sitting in one spot until I get that sucker.

This is a list of items separated into Bard/Rog, All/All, and Potions.

The items itself are what is only obtainable now, and easy (Ie. No Mask of Tinkering Etc.).

Hope it helps on your illusion journey!

Updated as mistakes have been pointed out and clarifications.

edit - as /u/Tanthiel have pointed out, note on Frogloks.

I just personally love Froglok (NPC) models, so they have made this list.

Player race frogs are listed as Guktan, and NPC model frogs from Guk etc, is listed under Froglok NPC, just to make the distinction easier for myself.

Player race frogs are called Frogloks in the character creation. However, illusion spell is listed under Illusion Guktan.

Is Aradune the only server with low/mid level grouping?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 07:35 PM PDT

With Aradune queue being what it is, are there any alternative recommended servers for playing a fresh character/account (no boxing/automation)?

Specifically looking for easy access to groups.

EverQuest Creator Brad McQuaid’s Entire Comic Book Collection for Sale

    Posted: 09 Jun 2020 11:54 PM PDT

I know many people are saddened by the passing of EQ creator Brad McQuaid. I was recently contacted by an estate company that is selling Brad's 700+ rare comic book collection on behalf of Brad's surviving family. I published a short article for people who might be interested in purchasing the entire collection. If you know anyone please spread the word. I am doing this for the Brad McQuaid's surviving family. Thanks!

I'm a returning player and looking for advice on how to get back into the game

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 12:35 PM PDT

    Hey everyone!

I'm just coming back to EQ after quite a few years without playing. My main was a lvl 91 mage, and I was wondering what kinds of stuff I should look into for guides at how to play at this level after the many changes the game has gone through. I've done some low level goofing around to refamiliarize myself with the basics, but stuff like AAs I need advice on what to focus on. Especially because I logged in to see a bunch of them refunded to me for an unknown reason. Where should I reinvest my points? Or where are some guides I can read. Thanks in advance!

Noob question on two classes Shaman and Necro

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 05:36 AM PDT

I've done some Google searches and most of the answers are from several years ago. So I do not know if they're still relevant so forgive me for asking a question that's probably been asked 1 million times. I just started playing on the Rizlona server. I have a level 18 necromancer and I'm now leveling a shaman. My question is later on down the road as they level up I know the necromancer is allegedly the king of outdoor soloing but I want to know how the shaman is. I like to solo but I also like to be wanted and bring utility and versatility to groups but a lot of times I play off hours and I can't find a group. So my question is how do shaman later on solo whether it be for making money or for experience? And what is the main difference is like what are the strengths and weaknesses of both classes? And last but not least which class solo better in dungeons tight quarters?

    Pay using steam wallet?

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 07:19 AM PDT

Looking at getting back into the game with the new TLP server release. On the Daybreak website, once you select the monthly membership option using 'buy now', There is an option for using Steam to pay for subscription under payment source. Once you click 'Purchase' you are brought to the steam website where you can log in.

My question is, can I just buy steam gift cards to pay for my membership?

    Noob Bard Just Starting Out

    Posted: 10 Jun 2020 01:33 AM PDT

I was wondering what gear I should be trying to get as I level? Which instruments are worth getting? How do I make a equip swap macro to swap my weapons to an instrument? Which dungeons should I go to level up with a group to level 50?
