Wanted to access my old account to check out my characters. Turns out I was banned in 2000 for reasons unknown and they won't undo it. :/

apparently they don't have records of why I was banned and therefore can't unban me. I have no idea what I was banned for I was like 18 at the time. Thought it was kind of silly that after all this time, nearly 20 years later, that they are going to uphold it.

I don't recall being particularly mean or using profanity back then but even if so I'm an adult now so I don't think there's much risk of it happening again.

I honestly think that my account was compromised, I probably use that password for everything back then on the internet.

It just really sucks cuz I was hoping to just log on to those characters and check them out just for nostalgic purposes.

Seeking ideas for a fun project on FV

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 06:49 PM PDT

Good afternoon all. About a year ago, a buddy and I twinked 2 brand new enchanters to the gills and set them loose upon the world. I'm not sure I've had more fun in a game. Now we're thinking about our next class pair project and I was thinking 2 paladin twinks leveling up solely on undead. So, in that vein, I have some questions:

    1) Are paladins a stupid choice (or are we missing a much more fun combo)?

    2) Ideas for an 'ultimate' level 1 paladin gear set?

    Thanks, all!

    Classless Server

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:19 AM PDT

Hey EQ, I've played with you all for a long time now and hopefully this post isn't out of bounds (didn't see any recent posts about this server)

I have been playing on the classless server for the last month and it has been a really cool EQ experience. I just wanted to share some of the unique features and why I think some of you may enjoy mixing it up on occasion.

    1. Strict No Boxing! One character per IP (allowances on a case by case basis)
    2. It is truly classless, you pick your race then all skills and spells are drops from monsters that you combine together on the spell bar to make your build. If you remove a spell or skill from the bar, you lose those buffs so it really limits the combinations so you have to pick and choose how your build functions.
    3. Monsters scale up to your level, so going into blackburrow at level 60 will still be challenging. You can also disable the scaling if you want to go stomp through some low level content for drops, only downside is you don't earn XP with scaling disabled.
    4. Character power comes more from your stats, and they work slightly different than we are used to. As you gain xp you spend AA to boost the stats for your build, and can respec these at no cost. Item drops also have these stats on them that get turned into augment gems that you can insert into your gear.
    5. Right now the content goes through Velious, with most Velious zones being extremely challenging compared to classic and Kunark
    6. You can do all epics on a single character, and different combinations of epics are useful for different content. They also have some unique custom abilities added.
    7. Leveling up is based on AA count, and this grows exponentially. You will get through the early levels fairly quickly, but the grind is real on the high end.

Please ask any clarifying questions if you are interested, and please don't waste your energy with the "no thanks" posts.

Send Avarice a tell if you hop in game and want some help getting started.

    Thanks,

    Mage, F2P, Tradeskill

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 03:36 PM PDT

What (which ones if more than one) is the best tradeskilling combo, most useful for solo F2P Mage?

One more Q: what social command I need to type to get pet attack on my hotbar? I tried /petattack and /attackpet

I would like to use it, just like is already preassigned autoattack on hotbar number 1

    P99 clone?

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 02:38 AM PDT

I start a new tlp every time they come out, or at least the classic onward tlps, i generally stop during velious, i dont mind luclin thrown in the mix, but i do not like the additions made past then. I am aware of p99 green and am very interested but also very aware of the struggle on p99 when coming in late. My experience is blue, and i know green improved the experience of camping loot for the unguilded.

My question is whether or not i should jump on p99 green or wait to see what Aradune server looks like. I wouldn't mind playing on green if the population is good, and i can do pugs

EDIT: I tried to obtain a copy of titanium and hit a brick wall, if anyone knows of a server that more closely resembles a p99 era please let me know, i dont mind luclin, but anything after please explain the major differences added

    G A M E O V E R ?

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:22 PM PDT

It seems Overseer Quests are basically a pay to win mechanism such as tablet/mobile games like Clash of Clans have. You login, click a few buttons to send your agents on quests, and collect 5% exp in a minute. Once your agents are gone you can buy more via the store. Bottom line, real money cash keeps you able to advance without killing a single monster.

Does this make the game non-legit and is it time to get out?

Best Class to Carry Team? [FV]

    Posted: 27 Mar 2020 07:33 AM PDT

    Hey Guys,

Looking to get back into the game during this quarantine. I have multiple level 90s on FV and looking to pick one or two to forge forward with probably to 110 (as I don't have the current expansion). Wha class would you guys say would be the most beneficial to help carry the remainder of my toons to 110 after getting there on the main one. I have a multitude of classes to choose from (you name it I probably have it). I was thinking either a SK for swarm kiting later on or a Ranger for headshotting? Can either of these carry the rest of the team to 110?

    Thanks!
